AR-Powered Beauty Experiences : Lancome

Earlier this summer, French luxury beauty brand Lancôme launched a highly experiential retail game at its flagship store in Paris, France. Powered by augmented reality technology, the immersive offering invited guests to enter a faux delivery truck, put on an AR headset, and enjoy a one-of-a-kind journey that would take them from France’s picturesque countryside to the streets of Paris.

In order to launch the AR-enabled retail experience, Lancôme teamed up with Wilkins Avenue AR, a company specializing in branded AR events, levering its state-of-the-art AR and spatial computing technology. A highlight of the experience, users virtually visit ‘Domaine de la Rose’ in Grasse, France — the capital of French perfume. “What better way to immerse visitors in the magic of the Lancôme brand than an innovative journey taking them to our rose fields in Grasse?” said General Manager of Lancôme France, Julie Audouin-Urdangaray. – Business Trends
