The recently launched Fictions virtual exhibition, created by Collectif des Créateurs Canadiens and arranged by Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, is an apprehensive peek into a post-apocalyptic setting featuring fresh modern designs. The exhibition draws influence from its hometown of Montreal, immersing the viewer in an intriguing visual experience that tells a fractured story through four separate camera angles, akin to surveillance cameras. True to their experimental nature, the designs obscure the boundaries between function and form and carry a contemporary, macabre air about them.
Fictions features thirteen new creative works from eight Canadian designers, namely Atelier Zébulon Perron, Claste Collection, David Umemoto, Lambert & Fils, Loïc Bard, Pascale Girardin, SSSVLL, and Yannick Pouliot. The design collection will be sold at Adorno after the virtual exhibit’s official launch on April 22nd.
